I love photography. I love capturing memories that last.. I love getting that PERFECT moment! I just LOVE IT!!
I love helping people see how beautiful they are!
SO many times when doing a shoot the clients start of timid. They are VERY unsure. They ALWAYS say I feel so awkward taking pictures, or "I ALWAYS look bad in pictures". I love taking a few beautiful shots and showing them how amazing they REALLY look. They often loosen up and start having fun!
I have been dying to find a way to show everyone that they are beautiful! Pictures capture BEAUTY!!
So I decided I would start a "THING" I would do photo shoots of different people different ages, different style. I would Have FUN with their shoots. I would learn what makes them feel beautiful and SHOW IT OFF!
I thought about it for a long time but just could figure out exactly what I wanted to do. Then, a few days ago, a friend of mine lost her son. "Carrie and Chase welcomed their sweet baby #2, Henry, on July 11, 2014. Henry was born with luscious lips and the sweetest eyes. He was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). This condition requires several heart surgeries and possible transplant for survival. Henry underwent his first open heart surgery a week after delivery. This surgery took place at Phoenix Children's Hospital in Arizona. Their he received excellent care and had the most amazing care providers. Little Henry experienced many miracles and was able to come home just two weeks after surgery. He spent the next four weeks with his beautiful family, who loved and served him every second. At just seven weeks old, Henry returned home to his Heavenly Father after fighting like a true warrior. His short life here on earth was nothing short of noble. We hope to ease our sister's financial burden of medical expenses and funeral costs. We love you Henry and can't wait to see you again. Henry Forever." #HenrysHeart
This touched me, broke my heart, and gave me courage! I have been soo impressed with how bold and beautifully Carrie, and her family have been through all this.
A few days after Henry had passed she wrote " Friends and family, thank you for all if your support for our sweet Henry. Your love and condolences have touched our family...We invite everyone to wear red in honor of Henry's life. We'd love to see your pictures of you wearing red-- hashtag us with #henrysheart and #henryforever."
I decided. RED!! Red is BOLD Red is BEAUTIFUL Red is for Henry and all that his fight stood for. RED is all about letting it show and standing out!
I am the kind of person that has thought "I cant pull off wearing RED lipstick." But why not? Why cant we all!! We are all stronger than we give ourselves credit for! We are all more beautiful than we give ourselves credit for!
So, with that.. Here is the start of my BOLD, BEAUTIFUL, and RED!
P.S. This sweet boys family is raising money to cover cost of his medical bills go HERE to donate!
BOLD, BEAUTIFUL, AND RED
Meet Saida Maritsa Hernandez
I asked Saida 2 questions
1. What does "Beauty" mean to you?
Beauty to me doesn't mean a pretty face I believe to truly be beautiful you have to be beautiful on the inside first an ugly mind and soul ruins a pretty face
2. What makes you feel "Beautiful?"
I believe that my compassion for others makes me feel beautiful my father always taught me to have compassion for others I like to help out who I can when I can even if its in the most minimal way and that truly makes me feel beautiful
So, whose next??
